Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Match at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years following their departure for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
